Unification

Introduction San Andreas Border Patrol (SABP) is a specialized operational detail of the San Andreas State Troopers (SAST) committed to protecting the borders, rural traffic areas, and interdiction patrols within the state's border regions.

SABP is supported by a core group of full-time officers who are fully trained and fall directly under SAST command. Temporary attachments are also allowed from other departments if justified by such reasons as the flexible nature of border patrol duties and the need for active patrol cover.

Division Status & Authority SABP is SAST's permanent sub-division with complete powers of enforcement at border regions, rural areas, and checkpoints.

SABP staff are sworn law enforcement officers, trained to state levels and responsible under SAST policy and direction.

All activities are directed by the SAST chain of command.

Full-Time SABP Agents

These are senior SABP officers who have chosen the Border Patrol sector as their primary duty. They are instructed in:

Border operations and contraband interdiction

Checkpoint protocol and search procedures

Vehicle and pedestrian screening

Rural pursuit and tactical containment

They form the spine of SABP and are meant to guide or direct temporary officers. Organizational Structure

The command arrangement of SABP is intended to ensure decisive leadership within combined deployments:

-Border Patrol Director – Directs statewide SABP operations and furnishes interdepartmental policy coordination.

-Field Operations Commander – Directs daily patrols, checkpoint duty, and field deployment of agents.

-Supervisors – On-site leaders tasked with unit coordination, report filing, and enforcement of SOP compliance.

Temporary Assignments & Rotations In order to impart operational flexibility and to provide yet another chance to other agency officers, SABP takes temporary staff on the following conditions:

Relief from Boredom/Fatigue: SABP, LSPD, FIB, or even BCSO deputies who require a change of environment can apply for a temporary transfer to SABP.

Disciplinary Cooldown: Minor disciplinary rotation personnel can be temporarily assigned to SABP so they remain on active duty while standards are being considered.

Interview Rejections or Alternate Career Paths: Unsuccessful BCSO or LSPD interview applicants, or those who do not wish to work in regular patrol or tow units, are welcome to start their careers at SABP. This is a chance to gain law enforcement experience in a structured high-responsibility environment. Departments Involved:

-Blaine County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) – Committed to border patrol in rural locations and off-road enforcement in Blaine County.

-San Andreas State Troopers (SAST) – Oversees highway interdiction, high-speed response, and checkpoint operations on a statewide basis. -Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) – Provides city enforcement support, port security collaboration, and intelligence aid near city entry points.

Jurisdictional Authority SABP has specialist jurisdiction, with operational jurisdiction in several important areas of operation. SABP is there to supplement—not replace—local police in its own spheres of operation.

Departmental Coordination

SABP's viability relies highly on its collaborative nature:

-BCSO provides patrol backup, off-road area backup, and detainment support in Sandy & Palito.

-SAST synchronizes high-speed enforcement, vehicle interdictions, and traffic stops along checkpoints.

-LSPD offers intelligence, logistics, and assistance when SABP is near or inside city limits.

Any activity by SABP in shared jurisdiction must be reported via dispatch and coordination with the lead agency for that area.

Expectations & Behaviour

Whether temporary or full-time:

All SABP officers must conform to SABP standards of discipline.

Every officer must follow search, seizure, and documentation protocols.

Uniform, vehicle, and authority should be utilized only during working duty hours and in jurisdiction.

Misuse of the flexibility provided by SABP will lead to reassignment or disciplinary action immediately.

Benefits of Working in SABP

Practical tactical patrol experience

Liberation from regular urban patrols

Opportunities for training in checkpoint operations, vehicle searches, and K9 deployment

Leadership development among newly commissioned officers

Opportunity to work in law enforcement outside of traditional PD or SO roles ???? San Andreas Border Patrol provides both a professional full-time enforcement position and a periodic temporary detail for individuals seeking variety, redirection, or a second opportunity at law enforcement. As a proud sub-divison of San Andreas State Troopers, SABP is an integral part of statewide protection and border security. If you are willing to serve, learn, or grow — SABP is the place for you.
